Meet Jacob Rubio

Youth & Young Adult Ministries Director

Jacob is a father, husband, student, and longtime bike mechanic who is passionate about walking alongside the next generation as they discover new life in Christ.

Jacob is deeply shaped by the words of the prophet Hosea when he said “Come, let us return to the Lord…” This invitation fuels his desire to see youth and young adults grow in their love for God and neighbor, living out a faith that is meaningful and communal. Jacob values relationships and seeks to befriend, encourage, model, and invite others into deeper life with Christ.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Formation at North Park Theological Seminary and hopes to continue on toward an MDiv.

Outside of ministry and studies, Jacob loves being outdoors with his wife, Sierra, and their two children, Charlie and Oliver. He can often be found hiking or, more often, on a bike—riding, fixing, and occasionally volunteering his skills with local nonprofit organizations.
