“If You Only Had One Sermon (Acts 17:16-34)
Paul was in Athens, a city known for its religious tolerance and philosophical debates. He had one chance to share the truth of Christ and in those few moments, he had to capture the minds and hearts of his greatest critics. If you had one sermon to give, what would you say? What truth would you stand on? How would you get people’s attention? What could you offer that would spark renewal and life-change in people who were cynical and leery of outsiders? Paul lays out the gospel in a way that is clear and timely—for us as much as it was for the people of Athens.
