“Who Will Rescue Me?” (Romans 7:14-25)
Paul was renewed by Jesus, but inside he was still waging war with his own sinful desires. He wanted to do what was good, but was constantly falling short. “Who will rescue me from this body of death?” (v.24) This is the struggle between the renewed self and the person who hates what they do–standing face-to-face with their own shortcomings. Who will rescue Paul, who will rescue you and me?
